The Supermac’s Festive 5oz Feeling
“There is something magical about the lights being switched on at Christmas”
Not only does it signify the beginning of the Christmas period but something else is switched on as well. The town centre becomes the beating heart of the city for the best part of 2 months. The place is full of families, friends and partygoers all looking for the same, magical thing – the Festive Spirit. What is the Festive Spirit? It means different things to different people. It’s the spin on the Ferris Wheel or the carol singers. It’s the trip to the airport to pick up a son or daughter and the family gathering around the fire – probably for the 1st time since last year!

Supermac’s pride themselves at being at the heart of their communities and to celebrate the Festive Spirit with customers they will be bringing back the limited edition Festive 5oz again this year. The 100% Fresh Irish beef burger is back due to popular demand and forms part of the festive menu at Supermac’s. In keeping with the time of year, the double stacked fresh never frozen Irish beef burgers are topped with caramelised mushroom and onion, a slice of swiss cheese and light peppercorn mayo – it even sounds festive! The mouth-watering burger is cooked to order every single time and served in a freshly baked Kaiser Bun.

The limited edition Festive 5oz is a variation of Ireland’s first fresh meat burger, the 5oz Burger, made famous by the Irish rugby legend, Seán O Brien. The fresh juicy burgers are made from prime cuts of Irish beef and are never frozen. Supermac’s has its new Order Online App so now it’s easier than ever to order the countries favourite burgers.

Supermac’s annual commitment to Irish farmers has now reached in excess of €32 million per annum. “The Festive 5oz is a delicious seasonal variation that was a huge hit with our customers last year,” Supermac’s MD, Pat McDonagh said.  “We pride ourselves at Supermac’s in giving our customers the variety they look for and our customers told us that they wanted the Festive 5oz back again this year. The secret is in the freshness. Fresh beef tastes better. Frozen beef loses moisture and when you lose moisture you lose taste. Our 5oz burgers are made from prime cuts of beef and are cooked to order,” Mr McDonagh said, and we only use beef sourced from Irish farmers. This is why our burgers taste better.
