The Assistant Operations Manager will assist the Operations Manager in driving the business while continuously maintaining high standards and promoting the brand at all levels.

The role also involves providing overall leadership to the Area Managers so that their restaurants meets or exceeds their annual targets. The role of the Assistant Operations Manager is split into five key areas: People, Training, Core Operations, Budgets and Cost Control, Project management in line with Company Strategy.


• Coaches, counsels and develops Area Managers to develop their restaurants into a state of self-sufficiency to build and maintain high sales profits
• Communicates restaurant goals and a motivating vision; links individual Store Management performance to achieving restaurant goals.
• Leading, inspiring and motivating the teams to deliver excellence in customer service and always seeking to improve best practice.
• Leads the Area Managers in local store marketing and CSR
• Makes arrangements in times of Area Management absence to ensure restaurants have support
• Regularly coaches Management to drive for results, is a role model in his/her display of professionalism.
• Assists the operations Manager in the opening of new stores and fit out of same
• Responsible for overseeing Franchisee stores
• Assists the Operation Manager in New Product & Systems Development, driving change and delivering innovation.


  • You have 5 + years’ experience in operations, ideally both in catering and retail, leading a large team.
  • Strong business background, commercial awareness and strategic thinker
  • Provides clear direction and is assertive
  • Strong leadership figure with proven skills in training and motivating teams, with a work ethic and business logic.
  • Can effectively build and sustain strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders
  • A passion for the food industry and driven to stay ahead of the competition
  • A self-starter who remains highly organised when given competing deadlines
  • Full Driving Licence
